Purpose/Mission

The purpose of the Advisor Recognition Committee is simple. We want to recognize the hard and important work that advisors do every day. Our job is not always in the spotlight, is sometimes thankless, and can take an emotional toll. The main goal of our committee is to shed light on the work we do, and to show appreciation for the dedication it takes to do our job.

Tasks Performed by the Committee

• Bi-annual thank you notes and gifts.

• Annual advisor recognition awards.

• Summer social events.

Meeting Frequency

2-3 times per semester for 1 hour

Other Information

Anyone who is interested in celebrating other advisors is welcome to get involved with the Advisor Recognition Committee. Members will help plan summer social events and, once a semester, may be asked to deliver thank you notes or other items to advising units on campus.
