About
The size, decentralization, and geography of the University of Michigan can make it more challenging for academic advisors to make connections, develop a sense of community, and keep updated with the latest developments within our different schools, colleges, and departments.
The Advising Council at U of M hopes to assist advisors to:
Effectively communicate and share news, information, questions, concerns, ideas, best practices, and achievements
Develop a sense of community, support, and mentorship
Celebrate and recognize individual advisors and advising at the university
Encourage professional development and research
Contribute to awareness and development of the advising profession
